No matter what level your riding is at, doing lunge lessons are extremely helpful for your riding. It strengthens your foundations, improves your balance, corrects your position, improve your confidence and so much more.
Bitless Riding has become something of a trend recently so we decided we wanted to learn a bit more about it. We're not sure Dante & Coco are the best horses to test it out on so we got our good friend Heather from "Freya The Connemara" to talk us through her experience and answer a few questions we had on the subject!
We both really enjoyed our first lesson with Christa Dillion from Blackhill Eventing, so much so that we got her out for a second! Lessons where you get pushed and challenged to the best of your ability are definitely the kind of lessons that we need at the minute. We both feel we need something or someone to push us forward.

People decide to move yards for any number of reasons, but where do you start once you've made your decision?
The woodchip was a lot deeper so the horses had to work themselves a lot more through it. With the woodchip gallops, The horses had to work themselves up to the top of a hill before we finished off by letting them walk back
This was both Coco and Dante's first time to this arena and their first time out doing some proper showjumping schooling so we were both really looking forward to this experience.
The last time we went out for a hack together it didn't go very well so we decided it was time to give it another go. Both horses showed tremendous improvements. Give it a read for the full story!
