Well its our final August Monthly exercise and I have to say, I’m kind of sad to see this month end. To finish off, we decided again to ask our followers what they wanted to see and once again jumping won out (I’m starting to see a trend here). We've been doing quite a good bit of jumping recently, with both of us moving up in the heights, so it was great to do an exercise that made us focus on the more technical side of jumping for a change. This was a great exercise to get us working on tightening up those turns after a fence.

Horses spook for any number of reasons - a dog jumped out at them, a bird rustled in the bush, a rock looked a bit funny, the grass was a different shade of green…you get the picture. The hardest part about a spooking horse is finding out what the actual cause is.
As equestrians, we take pride in everything to do with our horses but one thing in particular is ensuring our tack is clean and well looked after. And rightly so, that s*** is expensive!! And while every piece of tack deserves to be well looked after, I think a special consideration needs to be made for the saddle.
